Ingredients


500 g flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ginger
125 g sugar
125 g margarine
250 g syrup
1 egg

150 g margarine
150 g powdered sugar
1 tsp ground vanilla


Preparation

Mix all the ingredients for the dough (flour, baking soda, ginger, sugar, margarine, syrup and egg) thoroughly and knead well. It's best to leave the dough in the fridge overnight.


The next day, preheat the oven to 375 °F (190 °C) upper and lower heat and then roll out the dough as thinly as possible using baking paper (and a little flour on the bottom if necessary), then cut out hearts from the dough,...


...place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 375 °F (190 °C) for about 10 minutes. Then let it cool down well.


For the cream, mix the margarine with the powdered sugar very thoroughly, then add the vanilla and stir in well. Then always spread the bottom of a cookie heart with the “Smjörkrem”, i.e. the butter cream...
