Engiferkökur

Ginger cookies

 
Ingredients

500 g brown sugar  
250 g margarine
2 eggs
500 g flour
1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda  
1 tsp cloves  
1 tsp cinnamon
  2 tsp ground ginger


Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 °F (180 °C) upper/lower heat.

In a large bowl, beat the sugar and margarine with the eggs until frothy.


Add flour, baking powder, baking soda as well as cinnamon, cloves and ginger and work everything into a smooth dough.


Roll small balls by hand, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and flatten very carefully with a fork.


Bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° upper and lower heat for about 10 minutes until the cookies are golden brown.
