Anískökur

Anise cookies


 
Ingredients

200g butter
100g sugar
100g brown sugar
1 egg
250 g flour
1 tbsp potato flour
1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp aniseed
grated peel of an orange
Chocolate beans



Preparation

Preheat theoven to 400 °F (200 °C) upper/lower heat.
 
In a large bowl, cream the butter with the white and brown sugars and the egg.



Add flour, potato flour, baking powder, baking soda, aniseed and orange peel and knead everything into a smooth dough.


Form small balls out of the dough and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.


Bake in a preheated oven at 400 °F (200 °C) upper and lower heat for about 8 minutes until the cookies are golden brown.

Take the cookies out of the oven, press a chocolate button directly into each cookie...


...and then let the anise cookies cool down.
