Bláberja-Smjördeigsflétta

Blueberry puff pastry plaits


Ingredients

1 roll of puff pastry (chilled)
175 g cream cheese
50 g powdered sugar
1 pinch of ground vanilla
100 g blueberries
40 g chopped almonds
2 tsp powdered sugar for dusting


Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 °F (180 °C) upper/lower heat.

In a bowl, stir the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and ground vanilla until smooth.


Roll out the puff pastry on baking paper and cut the edge of the dough evenly on both sides so that an approx. 10 cm long “centre piece” remains.


Spread the cream cheese mixture on the "middle piece", ...


...then spread the blueberries and sliced ​​almonds over it...


...and “braid” the strips of dough over the filling, alternating from right to left.


Bake the baking paper with the braided braid on a baking tray in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, until the puff pastry braid slowly turns golden brown.


Let cool slightly, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve straight away.
