Vöfflur

Waffles

Ingredients

100 g margarine
500 g flour
60 g sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
350 ml milk
3 eggs
3 drops of vanilla flavor

Oil for the waffle iron

Preparation

Melt the margarine.

Mix the flour with the sugar, baking powder and salt.

Pour in half of the milk and stir.

Then mix in the melted margarine, eggs and vanilla flavor and then stir the dough with the rest of the milk until smooth.

Grease the waffle iron with a little oil and bake the waffles one after the other over relatively high heat. The dough is sometimes a bit sticky, but if you use more oil for the iron, the nice, fluffy consistency of the waffles suffers.

The dough was enough for us to make 14 thick, wonderfully fluffy waffles.

Serve the finished waffles with cream and jam - or with homemade dandelion syrup (recipe here ) or daisy syrup (recipe to come!).

On the right the light dandelion syrup, on the left the darker daisy syrup
