Green asparagus fried in butter



Ingredients

1 bunch of fresh green asparagus

3 Tbsp butter
40 g grated hard cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper


Preparation

Wash the green asparagus, peel if necessary and cut off the lower third.


Melt the butter in a large pan and fry the asparagus for a good 10 minutes.

 
Then place the asparagus in an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with the grated hard cheese, season with salt and pepper and pour over the remaining butter from the pan.


Place in the oven in a preheated oven at 175 °F (80 °C) for at least 10 minutes...


...and then serve warm as a side dish to meat dishes. Very tasty and will definitely appeal to people who aren't typically asparagus eaters!
