Beer cheese

Ingredients

1 liter of milk
0.5 l malt beer
2 tsp vinegar
2 Tbsp sugar

Preparation

Pour the milk into a large saucepan and heat it up.

Pour in the malt beer and bring everything to the boil briefly.

Add vinegar and sugar...

...and let it simmer for a few minutes.

Then pour the liquid through a sieve...

...and then decant the collected, still warm beer and serve it straight away.

Drain the reserved cheese mixture, squeeze it out briefly and put it in a bowl and serve it lukewarm as dessert.

Conclusion:

All in all, including cooling, the preparation takes a good half an hour. The dessert is enough for two people, the warm beer for at least four.

The taste of the warm beer reminded me of hot milk with honey - and yet it was quite filling.

The cheese, spiced up a bit with honey and cinnamon, was definitely a very nice experience!
