Grillaður silungur með osti og hnetum

Grilled trout with cheese and nuts

Of course, you can't just fish in Iceland; you have to purchase fishing licenses and then comply with the relevant regulations. But if you're fishing with a license in Iceland, you'll want to prepare your catch straight away if in doubt. So I was looking for a recipe that uses as few other ingredients as possible and that can be easily prepared on site using on-board resources.

Ingredients per serving

1 fresh trout
1 Tbsp butter
1 pinch of salt
1 tsp brown sugar
50 g blue cheese
50 g salted peanuts

Preparation

Wash and clean the trout.

Then brush the inside with butter and rub with salt and sugar.

Cut the blue cheese into small pieces.

Crush the peanuts too.

Mix half of the peanuts with the cheese.

Then place the trout on a sufficiently large piece of aluminum foil, fill it with the cheese-peanut-blueberry mixture, place the remaining peanuts on the outside of the fish...

...and wrap the whole thing up nicely.

Then grill the package for about 12 minutes on each side.

Enjoy straight away!
