Boiled salt meat
Ingredients
500 g salt meat
500 g cold water
500 g potatoes
500 g beets
150 g cream cheese
dried thyme
Preparation
Wash the salt meat and put it in a large pot with the cold water.
Let the meat cook in bubbling water for about 10 minutes, skimming off any foam that forms.
Then let the whole thing simmer over medium heat for about 30 minutes.
Wash the potatoes and beets, peel them and cut them into coarse pieces.
Add the potatoes and beets to the pot and cook for another 20 minutes.
Then drain the water, put the cooked salt meat aside and mash the potatoes and turnips...
