Hræringur (kvöldmatur)

Evening porridge


50 g oat flakes
200 mk water
1 pinch of salt
240 g skyr
200 g cooked fish from the previous day


Heat the water. Add salt and oat flakes. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the flakes are soft.

Let it cool for a short while. Then stir in the skyr.

Crush the cooked fish...

... and fold it into the skyr porridge.

Season with salt to taste and enjoy this traditionally Icelandic evening meal.
