Áfengislaus jólaglögg

Non-alcoholic Christmas punch

500 ml black currant juice
500 ml blueberry juice
10 cloves
3 cinnamon sticks 

1 inch (3 cm) fresh chopped ginger
1 orange
2 tsp raisins
For serving

1 Tbsp chopped almonds
1 Tbsp raisins


Peel the orange and take to pieces.

Put all ingredients (except the ones for serving) in a large pot and simmer for about half an hour on low heat.

Pour through a sieve to take out the spices and fruit, and serve the hot Jólaglögg with some chopped almonds and raisins

P.S.: For the alcoholic Jólaglögg variant substitute half the blackcurrant juice and half the blueberry juice with a bottle of red wine!
