Shortbread


Ingredients

175 g butter
90 g sugar
½ tsp vanilla
250 g flour
Cane sugar


Preparation

Stir together butter, sugar and vanilla.


Add the flour and knead gently.

Place the dough on your work surface and shape it into two cylinders of nearly 10 inch (25 cm) in length.


Roll the cylinders in cane sugar and then put it for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Preheat the oven to 160 ° C.

Cut the cold dough cylinders into 1/4 inch (3/4 cm) thick slices and place them on a lined baking tray, leaving sufficient room fr them to spread. Bake at 160 ° C for about 20 minutes, ...
